The Faroe Islands Football Association (FSF) has confirmed that Brian Kerr will not continue as national team coach beyond the end of his deal which expires next month.
Although no official reason has been given as to why the former Republic of Ireland boss is vacating the post, the governing body said in a short statement it was saddened it "was not possible to agree a new contract" with the 58-year-old.
Kerr, who took charge in April 2009, oversaw a win and a draw in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying as his squad finished bottom of Group C. The victory, a 2-0 success against play-off contenders Estonia, was the Faroe Islands' first in EURO qualifying since October 1995.
