Luxembourg 0-1 Hungary
Hungary prepared for Tuesday's qualifier against San Marino with a 1-0 victory at the Stade Josy Barthel. Attila Tököli and Vladimir Koman went close for the visitors while Daniel Da Mota missed the home team's best opportunity of the first half. The deadlock was broken eight minutes into the second half when Balázs Dzsudzsák crossed for Imre Szabics to score from close range. Luxembourg travel to Belarus on 7 June looking for their first victory in qualifying Group D.
Korea Republic 2-1 Serbia
With no fixture in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group C until September, Serbia took on the 2002 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists in Seoul. Park Chu-Young opened the scoring for the hosts after ten minutes before Kim Young-Kwon doubled their advantage shortly after break. FK Partizan midfielder Radosav Petrović pulled one back for Serbia but Cho Kwang-Rae's side held on for the win.
Peru 0-0 Czech Republic
Michal Bílek's side were held in their opening game of the mini-tournament in Japan. Peru, who are preparing for the Copa América, had the better of the first half and went closest when Petr Čech made a fine reaction save to deny Luis Advíncula. The Czech Republic improved after the break but it was again Peru who had the best chance to break the deadlock; however, FC Schalke 04 striker Jefferson Farfán could only direct his head against the post.
