UEFA EURO 2012 preparations will reach another major milestone this afternoon when ceremonies take place in Kyiv and Warsaw to mark the start of ticket sales.
UEFA president Michel Platini will be at Warsaw's Copernicus Science Centre for an event starting at 16.00CET. Polish Football Federation (PZPN) president Grzegorz Lato and tournament ambassadors Zbigniew Boniek and Andrzej Szarmach will feature among other high-profile attendees.
At the same time, 820km away in Kyiv, Ukrainian House will welcome UEFA EURO 2012 ambassador Oleg Blokhin and tournament director Markiyan Lubkivskiy. European football's governing body will be represented by UEFA presidential delegate for UEFA EURO 2012, František Laurinec, and UEFA Events SA operations director Martin Kallen.
Throughout March, people will be invited to apply for tickets, although two lucky fans have already ensured their presence early for the tournament between 8 June and 1 July 2012: at both ceremonies winners of a UEFA-run ticket promotion will receive four tickets apiece for Poland and Ukraine's first matches of the finals.
Additionally, one supporter from each host nation will be drawn during the ceremonies and receive four tickets for the Polish and Ukrainian teams too.
