The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will be without first-choice goalkeeper Tome Pacovski for the opening months of their UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying campagn after he broke his leg in action for KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen.
The 28-year-old fractured the fibula and tibula in his right leg seven minutes into his club's 4-0 Belgian First League defeat at RSC Anderlecht on Saturday, with Germinal Beerschot's medical team predicting he will be sidelined for up to six months. That gloomy prognosis would make the former FK Pelister and FK Rabotnicki player, capped 19 times and signed from FK Vardar in 2009, unavailable for FYROM's EURO Group B qualifiers against Slovakia, Armenia, Andorra and Russia this autumn. Coach Mirsad Jonuz will name his squad for the first two fixtures, to be played on 3 and 7 September, on 18 August.
