Olli Huttunen is to coach Finland in next week's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against San Marino having announced a 20-man squad.
The 50-year-old former Valkeakosken Haka trainer will stand in for Stuart Baxter, who he has assisted, in the 17 November fixture at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium as Finland attempt to get off the mark following three Group E losses. Football Association of Finland (SPL-FBF) president Sauli Niinistö said: "We have negotiated in good spirits and reached a common agreement, which is the best solution to the current situation. Olli and Stuart have worked together closely for a long time and Olli will take change of the game against San Marino."
Baxter said: "We reached a common decision after good discussions, which aimed at the best solution for Finnish football and all parties involved. This decision gives [the SPL-FBF] a chance to continue their development programme, and me a chance to look forward. At the same time, we can continue our work together for the best interests of the Finnish game. Olli is a good choice to coach Finland in the next EURO qualifying match."
In the squad itself, named by both men, uncapped defender Juhani Ojala comes in for injured Sami Hyypiä.
