Goals galore
Despite the threat of thunderstorms, the supporters packed the training venue and were rewarded by the goalscoring spectacle played out by Josef Hickersberger's squad. It finished 5-2 to ÖFB II with Erwin Hoffer scoring a hat-trick and Roland Linz and Christoph Leitgeb also on target. Remarkably, this team had just ten men because defender Emanuel Pogatetz was rested as a precaution. Third-choice goalkeeper Ramazan Özcan was the only other missing player. Roman Kienast and René Aufhauser scored for the losing side.
ÖFB I: Macho, Garics, Hiden, Patocka, Gercaliu, Harnik, Aufhauser, Ivanschitz, Säumel, Korkmaz, Kienast.
ÖFB II: Manninger, Prödl, Stranzl, Katzer, Standfest, Vastic, Leitgeb, Fuchs, Linz, Hoffer.
