EURO hope
The 31-year-old had to be substituted 21 minutes into the 2-2 draw against Newcastle United FC following a collision with visiting defender Steven Taylor. West Ham manager Alan Curbishley said: "We think he has got a cracked rib. Taylor has tried to get back, tried to leapfrog him and landed on him. He has been raked all down the front and the side of his face and cracked a rib. We hope he is OK for the EURO." Ljungberg has won 71 caps for Sweden, who meet Greece, Spain and Russia at UEFA EURO 2008™.
