Greece have been boosted by the return to fitness of Stelios Giannakopoulos after the Bolton Wanderers FC midfielder was named in coach Otto Rehhagel's squad for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey.

Hernia operation
The 33-year-old has not featured for the European champions since the 2-1 home victory over Moldova in June due to a hernia operation, but has made three recent appearances for his club after making a full recovery. Defender Michalis Kapsis and strikers Ioannis Amanatidis and Angelos Charisteas are also back after injury.

First place
Greece are in the driving seat in Group C having collected 19 points from eight matches. They lead both Norway - who have played nine games - and Turkey by two points. Bosnia-Herzegovina, who lie six points adrift of the leaders in fourth, visit Athens on Saturday before Greece head to Istanbul on Wednesday 17 October to face neighbours Turkey for what could prove to be a vital match for both teams' hopes of qualification.
