Coach Guy Hellers has recalled defender Jeff Strasser to his squad for Luxembourg's final UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying Group G game against the Netherlands on Saturday night.
Knee injury
The FC Metz centre-back, who has scored five goals in his 81 international appearances, missed last month's 1-0 defeat of Belarus and 2-0 home defeat by Romania having damaged ligaments in his right knee while playing for the French club against Olympique Lyonnais on 15 September. Having fully recovered, Strasser is one of 21 players called up by Hellers, whose side are certain to finish bottom of the section having taken three points from their first eleven matches, while the Netherlands go into the match at De Kuip in Rotterdam knowing victory will secure their place in next year's final tournament.
