"Christian has been struggling with a knee injury for the last few days and he feels it when he runs," said Norway coach Åge Hareide, whose team are second in Group C, two points above Turkey ahead of the countries' meeting in Oslo with both sides having two games left. "I only want players who can give 100 per cent, so Christian will watch from the stands. In Hæstad, we get a real terrier to work with Alexander Tettey." The 23-year-old Hæstad from IK Start has won 20 caps since making his Norway debut in May 2005, including seven qualifying appearances.
