The match will take place at the Stade de France four days after Les Bleus play the fifth of their 12 EURO qualifiers in Liechtenstein. The teams last met in August 1998 when they drew 2-2 in Vienna, one of only three draws in their 21 encounters. France have won ten of the other games to Austria's eight.
