Luckless Linderoth out again

Everton FC's Tobias Linderoth will miss another month's action, including Sweden's next UEFA EURO 2004™ match.

'Very disappointing'
Linderoth sustained the injury playing for Everton's reserve team on Tuesday night and now faces at least a month on the sidelines. "Unfortunately, Toby has pulled his left hamstring and he will be out of action for a minimum of a month," Everton physiotherapist Mick Rathbone said. "It is obviously very disappointing for the player."

Plagued by injuries
The 23-year-old had just returned to fitness after recovering from a series of injuries which had kept him out of the Everton side since November. "It is a blow," Linderoth said. "I really felt that I was going places, but this injury means I'll have to work even harder to get back into the team."

Out of service
Linderoth, who joined Everton from Norwegian side Stabæk IF in January 2002, will be unavailable for the Merseysiders' key Premiership fixtures against Arsenal FC and Newcastle United FC, as well as the Hungary match on 2 April. Sweden travel to Budapest needing to improve on a record of two draws from two Group 4 games.
