The pair clashed during the Moscow derby between PFC CSKA Moskva and FC Dinamo Moskva last Saturday, trading punches in the 52nd minute of their sides' 1-1 draw to earn red cards. The Football Union of Russia's disciplinary body decided to impose the maximum five-match ban on the players, meaning they will not play again before mid-April.
Bulgaria friendly
Although the suspensions run from today Ignashevitch was left out of CSKA's Russian Cup match yesterday and so may only have to sit out four more matches. Russia play their fellow EURO 2004™ finalists Bulgaria in a friendly in Sofia on 31 March and it is expected that Bulykin and Ignashevitch will retain their places in Georgi Yartsev's squad.
