Defender ruled out
The only player missing from the victory in Armenia last month is Sotirios Kyrgiakos of Panathinaikos FC. The central defender underwent surgery after damaging knee ligaments in a UEFA Champions League game against Rangers FC last week, and is out of action until January. Otherwise, Rehhagel has a full-strength squad available for the Group 6 match at the Apostolos Nikolaidis stadium.
So close to finals
Greece lead the group, a point clear of Spain, after five straight victories without conceding a goal. Should they match, or better, Spain's result in Armenia on Saturday, they will play at the final stage of a UEFA European Championship for the first time since 1980.
