Latvia schedule takes shape

Latvia will play in an eight-team tournament in Cyprus next month and face Slovenia in a friendly in March.

Open against Kazakhstan
Latvia will play Kazakhstan on 18 February and the following day will take on the winner of the match between Hungary and Armenia. Their third and final game will come on 21 February against one of the teams seeded in the group containing Belarus, Romania, Cyprus and Georgia. "We will bring our strongest squad to this tournament," said Latvia coach Aleksandrs Starkovs.

Slovenia test confirmed
Latvia have also confirmed a friendly away to Slovenia on 31 March, which is followed by the home meeting with Iceland on 28 April. The Lativan Football Federation is also planning a fixture shortly before the finals, on 6 or 7 June.
