Change of plan
The game, scheduled for Rotterdam, looked in doubt from the moment Germany were pitted against the Dutch in last Sunday's UEFA EURO 2004™ draw in Lisbon. The teams will meet in their opening Group D match in Porto on 16 June.
Destination Zagreb
Rudi Völler's side will now take on Croatia in Zagreb on the same day in February. Völler spoke to his Dutch counterpart Dick Advocaat after the draw, and the two countries could yet rearrange the friendly for after the EURO 2004™ finals.
Previous meetings
The last time Germany faced Croatia was in 2000, a 1-1 draw. However, the Croatians won a more memorable encounter 3-0 in the 1998 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
