Olsen calls on Krøldrup

Udinese Calcio defender Per Krøldrup has been called into Morten Olsen's Denmark squad for the visit to Turkey on 18 February.

'Young talent'
The 24-year-old has been pressing for a place for some time, and was included in Olsen's 18-man party for the match in Adana. "Per Krøldrup is a young talent who we have been following closely for some time," Olsen said. "Keld Bordinggaard [Olsen's assistant coach] saw him as late as Saturday, and we believe that it is now time to see him in the national team."

Brøndby players not selected
The Denmark coach has not selected any players from league leaders Brøndby IF, who meet FC Barcelona in the UEFA Cup third-round first leg on 26 February. "Brøndby are facing an important match, not only for the club, but for Danish football as a whole," Olsen said. "I would like to give them the best possible chance to prepare by not making use of any of their players just a week before the match."
