In line for first cap
The uncapped 23-year-old has been absent from the squad for a year but returns to fill the gap left by injuries to Manchester United FC's Mikaël Silvestre and FC Bayern München's Willy Sagnol, both recovering from knee problems. Reveillère is in line for his first senior appearance at the Stade de France on 11 October.
Duo suspended
In the absence of the suspended Patrick Vieira and Claude Makelele, France coach Jacques Santini may turn to the Rome-based midfield duo of S.S. Lazio's Ousmane Dabo and Olivier Dacourt of AS Roma. The French have already confirmed their place at EURO 2004™ as Group 1 winners.
