Albania atoned for their recent 4-0 defeat by Mexico by overcoming Azerbaijan 1-0 in a friendly on Wednesday in Tirana.
Tare winner
Striker Igli Tare, who plays for Brescia Calcio in Italy's Serie A, netted the only goal of the game after 39 minutes. The home side dominated, with Altin Raklli also striking a post from a free-kick, while Azerbaijani goalkeeper Husein Mahamadov saved a late penalty from Edvin Murati.
