Liechtenstein 0-0 Northern Ireland
Ten-man Northern Ireland stumbled to a goalless draw with Liechtenstein in their friendly international in Vaduz on Wednesday.
Lomas red card
An injury-plagued Northern Ireland struggled to create any clear-cut chances, and finished the game a man short, against a side rated 60 places below them in the latest FIFA world rankings. West Ham United FC's Steve Lomas was shown the red card for elbowing three minutes into the second period, but the visitors hung on to secure a share of the spoils.
Off the line
The best chance in a disappointing match fell to Liechtenstein's Thomas Nigg but Damien Johnson was on hand to clear his goalbound header off the line. Northern Ireland also had chances to win the game late on but both Jim Magilton and substitute Stuart Elliott fired wide when well placed.
