Pasulko names first Moldova squad

Moldova's new coach, Viktor Pasulko, has named his first squad for a friendly tournament being held in Malta from this weekend.

Limited choice
Pasulko was limited in his selection choices for an event that will also feature the hosts, Lithuania and Jordan. Moldovan first divison leaders FC Sheriff Tiraspol and second-placed FC Zimbru Chisinau have refused to let their players leave pre-season camps in Cyprus and Italy respectively.

Creativity shown
Upon taking the job on Tuesday, Pasulko said he hoped to show creativity in working with the national team. He has had to do just that for the Malta tournament, calling up several players from clubs in the second division.
