Switzerland recorded only their second win of the year as they overcame Austria in an international friendly at the Saint Jakob stadium in Basel tonight.

Wallner opener
Koebi Kuhn's side had to come back from a goal down following Roman Wallner's eleventh-minute opener to beat neighbours Austria for the second time in 12 months.

Yakin power
Hakan Yakin powered home an equaliser for the Swiss after 19 minutes and Alexander Frei put the home side ahead just before the break. Murat Yakin stroked a 76th-minute penalty to extend the lead before Wallner scored his second of the game nine minutes from time to reduce the deficit.
