Latvia have been boosted by the return of Marians Pahars from injury as coach Aleksandrs Starkovs named a full-strength squad for the first EURO 2004™ qualifier against Sweden on Saturday.

Pahars, who plays for English side Southampton FC, Jurgis Pucinkis, the FK Dinaburg midfield player, and FC Skonto goalkeeper Andrejs Piedels have been added to the squad beaten 4-2 by Belarus in Riga in August.

Meanwhile, FC Anzhi Makhachkala striker Eriks Pelcis, FHK Liepajas Metalurgs midfield player Viktors Dobrecovs and FC Skonto goalkeeper Andrejs Pavlovs have been dropped by Starkovs.
