Article body
Serbia and Montenegro have arranged a friendly international against Bulgaria in Krusevac on 27 March.
Teething troubles
The Football Association of Serbia and Montenegro have arranged the game and cancelled plans to play Australia on 28 March as national team coach Dejan Savićević aims to iron out some of the problems witnessed during a 2-2 draw against Azerbaijan in a recent UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier.
'I have to make changes'
"A few days later, on 2 April, we will be playing against Wales in a EURO 2004 qualifying game in Belgrade and I want to see what my players can do," said Savićević. "We had problems against Azerbaijan and I have to make changes. A friendly match is the best way to do that. Bulgaria are a strong team, and this match against our neighbours is a good opportunity for us."
Bulgarian pedigree
The match will be the first international game played by the team formerly known as Yugoslavia in Krusevac – a town 150 kilometres from the Serbian capital, Belgrade. Bulgaria, meanwhile, will use the match as preparation for their EURO 2004™ qualifier against Estonia in Tallinn on 2 April. Plamen Markov's side have a 100 per cent record in Group 8 following victories against Belgium, Croatia and Andorra.
