Tunisia 1-0 Sweden
Tunisia were deserved winners over Sweden in Tunis, with Najah Brahim scoring the only goal on 49 minutes.
Short of pace
Tunisia, now under the aegis of former France coach Roger Lemerre, dominated the game for long periods and showed plenty of creativity in all areas of the pitch. Sweden looked short of pace throughout the encounter and failed to create anything in the way of clear-cut goalscoring opportunities.
Hedman mistake
The home side pushed forward from the first whistle and continued to do so in the second half. They were rewarded four minutes after the break when Sweden's Celtic FC goalkeeper Magnus Hedman misplaced a pass to the feet of Brahim, who had little difficulty in scoring.
Penalty miss
Sweden had an opportunity to equalise from the penalty spot with just nine minutes remaining. Aston Villa FC's Marcus Allbäck was brought down in the penalty area, but Anders Svensson of Southampton FC hit the spot-kick over the crossbar.
Lagerback accepts defeat
Sweden coach Lars Lagerbäck admitted his side had not deserved victory. He said: "We lost to a better team. Our defence worked well, but we created very little. So Tunisia deserved to win."
