Quit threat over
Kaladze returns to the group having threatened to quit the national side following the still unresolved kidnapping of his brother in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. But after talks with national coach Alexandr Chivadze, the 24-year-old has committed himself to the team's Group 10 qualifying campaign.
Kaladze commits
"I will play in all of the team's qualifying matches," said Kaladze, who had warned that he might revoke his Georgian citizenship if his younger brother Levan was not released before 1 May this year following his abduction the previous May.
Germany calling
Chivadze and his players left Tbilisi for their German training camp today ahead of the match at FC Basel's Saint Jakob Park.
