FC Valga teenager Enar Jaager has been named in the Estonia squad for their EURO 2004™ qualifier against Belgium.
Teenage newcomers
National team coach Arno Pijpers has selected the 17-year-old defender, along with his 18-year-old midfield player team-mate Martin Vunk in his squad after a string of exceptional performances for Valga who top the Estonian second division having won 23 of their 24 matches.
Hohlov-Simson returns
The two youngsters join a 23-man squad for the friendly game against New Zealand on 12 October and the EURO 2004™ qualifier against Belgium in Tallinn four days later. Also included is FC Levadia Maardu captain Sergei Hohlov-Simson, who has not played for his country since 1999.
Poom braves injury
Derby County FC goalkeeper Mart Poom is also set to join up with Pijpers' squad despite being in the process of recovering from a fractured finger. Poom has told the coach that he would like to play for Estonia at least in the game against Belgium.
