Article body
Second spell
Adamyan took charge of the national team on a temporary basis last year, leading them to a 2-0 friendly victory away to Andorra. He then reverted to his role as the country's Under-21 coach when López was appointed.
Looking long term
After announcing the appointment the Armenian Football Federation (AFF) also confirmed that they are actively looking for a permanent new coach. Former France coach Henri Michel was willing to take the job for nine months but the AFF are looking for a more long-term solution. "To rebuild the national team, one needs more time than that," said AFF president Ruben Hayrapetyan.
Friendly date
Meanwhile, Armenia are yet to confirm the opponents for their next friendly on 12 February. The game will serve as a warm-up for their UEFA EURO 2004™ Group 6 qualifiers against Northern Ireland on 29 March and Spain on 2 April.
