Germany have arranged to play a friendly game against Belgium in Cologne on 31 March 2004.
Advance planning
The German Football Association (DFB) have set up the game a long way in advance as they aim to prepare for the finals of UEFA EURO 2004™. Germany currently top qualifying Group 5 but are level on points with Scotland and Lithuania. However, they have two games in hand on the Baltic side and one in hand on the team coached by Berti Vogts.
Belgian position
Belgium, meanwhile, are struggling to get into a commanding position in Group 8 under stiff competition from Croatia and group leaders Bulgaria. They are four points adrift of top spot, having succumbed to a morale-sapping 4-0 defeat in Croatia in their last qualifying game.
