Friendly fixtures
Croatia will host the first of the friendlies on 12 February with Poland travelling to F.Y.R. Macedonia two days later. Poland have lost their two previous games against Croatia, both away friendlies, but will be meeting the Macedonians for the first time.
Group 4 tests
Currently third in UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying Group 4, Poland face their next competitive fixture on 29 March against Hungary before facing San Marino on 1 April. Croatia are fourth in Group 8, while F.Y.R. Macedonia lie third in Group 7, following their impressive 2-2 draw in England.
Boniek successor
It is not known who will lead Poland in those fixtures after Zbigniew Boniek’s resignation as coach last month, although Stefan Majewski is in temporary charge.
