Misses EURO 2004™
Titov's ban, which runs until 21 January next year, means he will miss UEFA EURO 2004™. He will probably have to sit out the entire 2004 Russian league season too after UEFA asked the world governing body FIFA to extend the sanction worldwide. The 27-year-old was tested after the EURO 2004™ qualifying play-off first leg against Wales in Moscow on 15 November.
Player and club fined
In addition to the suspension, Titov has been fined €6,400 while his club, Spartak, have received a €12,800 fine. Titov has until midnight on 26 January to appeal against UEFA's decision.
