Article body
The newly appointed Armenia coach, Andranik Adamyan, has named his squad for the friendly game against Andorra on 8 June.
French tour
Adamyan has revealed the 28-man squad he will take to France from 3-8 June to prepare for the meeting with Andorra. Armenia are scheduled to face several French clubs as well as Andorra on the tour. The coach is hopeful that all of his available foreign-based players will join the party.
Foreign legion
While Harutyun Vardanyan, a defender with Switzerland's BSC Young Boys, may yet miss out through injury, Adamyan will call on two naturalised foreign players for the first time in the country`s history. Defender José André Bilibiom, who was born in Argentina, and the Mali-born striker Diavara Mamadou - both of whom play for FC Pyunik - are in the squad and in line to make their international debuts.
Lack of practice
August date empty
"Aside from the Andorra game, we have only one other opportunity to play a friendly ahead of our game against Ukraine on 7 September, and that is in late August," said Adamyan. "We must find an opponent which will be a good warm-up for us, similar to Ukraine in the way they play." So far, Armenia have found no appropriate opponents for the 21 August date.
