UEFA, together with the City of Paris and hip hop arts centre La Place, announced the All-time EURO 11 at a ceremony at Paris City Hall. A selection of 11 internationally renowned graffiti artists picked by La Place have spray-painted the players on temporary supports in front of the Dalle Fougère Gardens, rue Léon Frapié (20th arrondissement), highlighting a trademark move, trait or symbol of each. These paintings will remain exhibited at the Town Hall forecourt (4th arrondissement) until Sunday 19 June.

How the team was picked
The winning team was chosen based on votes cast on EURO2016.com and Twitter, with more than 3.5 million in all. The application featured the 50 players who have made the greatest impact at EURO final tournaments. To be included, nominees had to meet at least two of the following four criteria:

  • Appeared in at least a semi-final
  • Figured in a Team of the Tournament
  • Finished a EURO tournament as top scorer
  • Produced an iconic EURO moment, such as the 'Panenka' penalty in 1976, Marco van Basten's volley from 1988 and Davor Šuker's chip in 1996

The nominees' other European, domestic or international achievements were not taken into consideration. Only EURO performances counted.
