There is still a chance to buy tickets for UEFA EURO 2016's opening match at Stade de France on 10 June between the hosts and Romania.
While the second phase of ticket sales on EURO2016.com including 800,000 tickets reserved for supporters of the 24 competing teams has closed, a public portal that allows fans to apply for any match in each of the ten host cities remains open until 1 February.
Opening matches have produced plenty of drama since the final tournament group stage was added in 1980. Who could forget Michel Platini's winner for France against Denmark the last time they hosted the championship in 1984? Or Alan Shearer striking for England against Switzerland at Wembley 12 years later?
How about Giorgos Karagounis starting Greece along the path to glory in 2004 against Portugal or Robert Lewandowski sending Polish fans into raptures four years ago in Warsaw?
Watch all those goals or more in the video above – then get your application in to see France and Romania make more history this summer.
