Antoine Griezmann is hoping to be representing his country at UEFA EURO 2016 next summer, and the Atlético forward can only dream of emulating his top finals moment.
Griezmann was just nine, playing football for his local club in Macon, when David Trezeguet scored the goal that won UEFA EURO 2000 for France. It was an occasion that left its mark on him, as he told UEFA.com after being asked to choose his favourite moment from the competition.
"For me, it's Trezeguet, and the moment when he scored the golden goal and took off his shirt," the 24-year-old said. "It was a really good moment. I remember I was at home with my family and my friends, and we were all screaming with joy."
