Russia will hope to prolong Liechtenstein's nine-game wait for a competitive home victory as they pursue a sixth successive victory against their Group G hosts.
• The Russians renewed their bid for automatic qualification with Saturday's 1-0 home win over Sweden in their first outing under new coach Leonid Slutski. With that result in Moscow reducing to one point the gap to the second-placed Scandinavians, Russia will overtake the Swedes on Tuesday if they overcome Liechtenstein and Sweden fail to beat group leaders Austria in Solna.
• Sandro Wieser is suspended after accumulating three bookings. The following players are a yellow card away from a ban: Mario Frick (Liechtenstein) and Denis Glushakov (Russia).
