Russia will look to bring a positive conclusion to their UEFA EURO 2016 Group G campaign as Montenegro make a first trip to Moscow.

• Russia will make sure of second place in the section with a point or more, while even a defeat would be enough if second-placed Sweden fail to beat bottom side Moldova.

• Montenegro's 3-2 defeat at home to Group G winners Austria on 9 October ended their qualification hopes.

Previous meetings
• The nations' first meeting at senior level, in March, was abandoned after 67 minutes with the score 0-0 after Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev was struck with an object thrown from the crowd. The game was subsequently declared forfeit, with Montenegro deemed to have lost 3-0.

• Montenegrin and Russian sides have met in two UEFA age-group competition games. Russia won both fixtures – UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifiers in 2012 and 2014 – without conceding.

Form guide
• Russia's 1-0 loss to Austria in Group G is their only defeat in their last 13 home qualifiers (W10 D2 L1).

• Montenegro's 2-0 win in Moldova in their most recent Group G away fixture ended a five-game (D2 L3) wait for a competitive away success.

Disciplinary
• The latest booking list is available here: http://www.uefa.org/disciplinary/disciplinary-cases/booking-lists/index.html.

• Montenegro coach Branko Brnović is suspended for this game after being sent off in the 3-2 home defeat against Austria.
