When is the play-off draw?
The draw ceremony begins at 11.20CET on Sunday 18 October and takes place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
How were the play-off contenders decided?
The top two in each of the nine groups qualified automatically, along with the third-placed team with the best record against the nations first, second, fourth and fifth in their section, which was Turkey from Group A. The other eight third-placed sides go into the play-offs.

Group B: Bosnia and Herzegovina
Group C: Ukraine
Group D: Republic of Ireland
Group E: Slovenia
Group F: Hungary
Group G: Sweden
Group H: Norway
Group I: Denmark
How does the draw work?
The eight teams in the draw have been divided into two groups of seeded and non-seeded teams, based on the UEFA national team coefficient rankings:
- Seeded teams: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Sweden, Hungary
- Unseeded teams: Denmark, Republic of Ireland, Norway, Slovenia
Each fixture will see a seeded team play against a non-seeded team.
