Bulgaria and Scotland have appeared in two UEFA European Championships apiece, though neither have made it past the group stage. Bulgaria were there more recently, at UEFA EURO 2004, yet failed to gain a point from their three games; they were joined in Portugal by Latvia who earned a creditable draw with Germany during their only finals showing. Under new coach Magnus Pehrsson, Estonia will hope to go one better than their UEFA EURO 2012 play-off defeat – a fate also endured by Montenegro.
With the likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in their squad, many of the big guns will want to avoid Wales, while Armenia, Belarus and Finland make up the rest of Pot 4.
