Key representatives from the ten cities hosting UEFA EURO 2016 have spent the last two days in Paris attending their fourth workshop.
The gathering at the French Football Federation (FFF) headquarters began on Thursday and gave an overview of the organisational structure put in place by UEFA and the FFF for the tournament. The governing bodies have created EURO 2016 SAS, a joint venture chaired by Jacques Lambert that will be responsible for all operational aspects of the final round.
EURO 2016 SAS will be in charge of the running of the tournament and its associated events, and will promote the competition. The French government and local authorities will provide the stage, infrastructure, public services and transport. They will also be tasked with public safety and security, and handle promotion of the country and host cities to a global audience.
Further discussions and presentations touched upon a variety of topics such as operational matters at the venues, the organisation of fan zones, public transportation and promotional activities.
