Sweden v Montenegro background

Sweden will look to tighten their grip on a top-two place in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group G as they welcome Montenegro.

Previous meetings
• The sides met for the first time in a competitive fixture on 15 November, Stevan Jovetić's penalty cancelling out Zlatan Ibrahimović's early strike in Podgorica to earn Montenegro a 1-1 Group G draw.

• Montenegro previously met Sweden in their fourth game after being admitted to UEFA, losing 2-1 at home on 12 September 2007.

• Nikola Drinčić and Milorad Peković made their debuts for Zoran Filipović's side, and Mirko Vučinić (16) headed Montenegro in front, only for Markus Rosenberg (70) and Rade Prica (74) to strike back and earn a win for Lars Lagerbäck's Sweden.

• Montenegro are without a win since their opening Group G fixture, a 2-0 success against Moldova. Their most recent match, at home against Russia, was abandoned due to crowd trouble, and declared forfeit. As a consequence, Montenegro were deemed to have lost the game 3-0.
