Home of Greek Super League team AEK Athens, the 32,500-capacity stadium was built on the site of the former Nikos Goumas Stadium and opened in September 2022.
Since 2023 the stadium has hosted the home matches of the Greece national football team, with their first game there a 0-0 draw in a friendly against Lithuania in March 2023.
Who is playing in the Europa Conference League final?
Olympiacos will have a short journey to their first-ever senior UEFA club competition final; the AEK Arena is just 15km from their home in Piraeus. Only the second Greek team to reach a senior UEFA final (after Panathinaikos in the 1970/71 European Cup), Thrylos are in contention for a second European title this season: their young counterparts beat Milan in the UEFA Youth League final.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, are through to the final for the second season running, having lost 2-1 to West Ham in Prague 12 months ago. That was Fiorentina's fourth defeat in five European showpieces – they won the 1961 European Cup Winners' Cup.

What do the Europa Conference League winners get?
The Europa Conference League trophy stands 57.5cm tall and weighs 11kg. It consists of 32 hexagonal spines – one for each team in the group stage of the competition – that twist and curve from the trophy base. The curved shape of the spines was inspired by the flight of a football as it heads towards the goal – the ultimate moment of excitement for fans.
The winners also gain a place in the following season's Europa League group stage if they have not qualified for the Champions League via their domestic competition.
