Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia captain Goran Pandev has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with FC Internazionale Milano after terminating his deal with S.S. Lazio.

Inter return
The 26-year-old forward, who has already started training with his new club and could feature against AC Chievo Verona on Wednesday, joined Inter ahead of the 2001/2002 season but after loan spells at Spezia Calcio and AC Ancona, he moved to Lazio on permanent basis in 2004 without making a single first-team appearance. Pandev scored 48 goals in 159 Serie A games for the Biancocelesti, finishing as the top scorer in last season's Coppa Italia with six goals as the Rome side lifted the trophy, but did not feature at all this season following a dispute with the club and his contract was terminated last month. Inter will face Chelsea FC in the UEFA Champions League first knockout round on 24 February and 16 March.
