With the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second legs coming up, UEFA.com picks out five in-form players who could make an impact on Matchday 14 of #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation.
Morgan Rogers (€5.2m) – Aston Villa
Aston Villa's top Fantasy scorer this season, Rogers got the opening goal in the first leg at Paris Saint-Germain, the fourth successive Champions League fixture in which he had provided a goal or an assist. The midfielder has also been productive in domestic action, recording a goal and two assists in his last two league appearances to move on to 15 goal contributions in the 2024/25 Premier League. Owned by just 6% of Fantasy managers, Rogers is an in-form differential asset worth considering when Unai Emery's side seek to overturn a 3-1 deficit at Villa Park.
Nuno Mendes (€5.8m) – Paris Saint-Germain
A goal, assist and seven ball recoveries meant Nuno Mendes scored 13 points on Matchday 13 – the highest among all defenders in the first legs. The Paris full-back is now behind only team-mate Achraf Hakimi in his position when it comes to overall Fantasy points this season, having registered three goals, two assists and 66 ball recoveries in total. The 22-year-old scored on his last Ligue 1 start and also laid on an assist in Portugal's 5-2 win against Denmark in the second leg of their UEFA Nations League quarter-final last month.
Robert Lewandowski (€9.6m) – Barcelona
The prolific Lewandowski reached 40 club goals for the season on Matchday 13 when he struck twice against Borussia Dortmund, and the Barcelona forward will have a chance to extend his impressive record against his former employers when the two sides meet again in Germany. Now on 105 goals in the Champions League – behind only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – the Pole's 11 in this current campaign is more than any other Fantasy forward.
Declan Rice (€6.0m) – Arsenal
With an ownership of just 5%, Rice has flown under the radar a little this season despite contributing four goals and two assists in the Champions League. Two of those goals came in stunning fashion on Matchday 13 with the England international, who had never previously scored from a direct free-kick in his career, demonstrating his ability from dead-ball situations with two stunning strikes. Rice has now either scored or provided an assist in Arsenal's last three European fixtures and also set up goals in both of England's recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Mikel Merino (€7.0m) – Arsenal
From one Arsenal midfielder to another, with Merino benefitting from his more advanced role in light of injuries to some attacking players in the Gunners' camp. The Spaniard has proved effective up front, scoring six goals for his club since being moved further forward in February. Also on target for Spain in the Nations League last month, Merino's first-leg strike means that he has now scored more career goals against Real Madrid than any other club. Matchday 14 will offer him another chance to add to that tally.
