UEFA Champions League official match ball supplier adidas have released Fired Up, a new match ball that will be used on Matchdays 7 and 8 of the the first-ever edition of the UEFA Champions League league phase. The ball is designed to reflect the heat of battle as Europe's best teams battle for a place in the knockout phase and, ultimately, aim to lift club football's biggest prize.
With more meaningful, competitive matches throughout the new-look version of Europe's premier club competition, there is something to play for all the way through to the final night of the league phase in January 2025 – and teams will do just that with a special ball for their final two fixtures.
Fired Up reinterprets the design of the original league phase ball – which returned to a classic look, with tip-to-tip stars as opposed to an offset design, for the first time since 2019 – with red, white and solar yellow waves set against a black background and white stars.
In addition to the tweaked design, the ball features a range of adidas performance technology, engineered for improved precision and swerve. The innovative PRISMA surface has been updated for 2024/25 with a brand-new debossing pattern, which has been rigorously tested in wind tunnels and on the pitch.
adidas' ongoing partnership with Common Goal will see 1% of all global net sales from adidas footballs – including this latest release – contributing towards initiatives driving lasting social change for under-served communities, helping to create a better and more inclusive future through football.
