LOSC Lille will look for a third successive high-profile UEFA Champions League scalp on Matchday 4 as Juventus come to northern France needing to rebuild after a home defeat.
The French side recovered from a 2-0 loss at Sporting CP in their opening fixture to overcome holders Real Madrid 1-0 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy before a 3-1 success at Atlético de Madrid, Jonathan David scoring three of those four goals.
Juve initially beat PSV Eindhoven 3-1 in Turin and then won 3-2 at Leipzig with ten men but came unstuck at home to Stuttgart, who scored the only goal in added time moments after Danilo's red card.
This is the teams' first meeting.

Lille's last games against Italian opponents came in the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League group stage, when they took four points off AC Milan (3-0 a, 1-1 h).
That victory in Milan ended a three-game losing streak against Serie A sides, LOSC having suffered only one defeat in their first seven matches (W5).
At home it is one victory in Lille's last four matches against Italian visitors (D2 L1).
The last of Lille's seven Champions League group appearances came in 2021/22, when they won their section before losing to holders Chelsea in the round of 16 (0-2 a, 1-2 h).
Those were their most recent games in the competition before this season's third qualifying round, when they beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 at home and drew 1-1 away after extra time to progress.
Lille then edged through a tight play-off against Slavia Praha (2-0 h, 1-2 a).
LOSC took part in the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2023/24, winning their section unbeaten (W4 D2) and defeating Sturm Graz in the round of 16 (3-0 a, 1-1 h) before losing to Aston Villa in the quarter-finals (1-2 a, 2-1 h aet, 3-4 pens).
The French side have won eight of their last nine home European matches (D1) and are unbeaten since that second-leg loss against Chelsea in 2022 – their only home reverse in 13 games (W9 D3).
Les Dogues – who replaced coach Paulo Fonseca with Bruno Génésio in the summer – were fourth in Ligue 1 in 2023/24, their highest finish since claiming their fourth league title in 2020/21.

Juve last faced French opponents in the 2022/23 Europa League knockout round play-offs, beating Nantes 4-1 on aggregate (1-1 h, 3-0 a) to end a run of three matches without a victory against a Ligue 1 club (D1 L2).
Juventus won three of their first ten games in France (D2 L5) and four of the subsequent seven (D1 L2).
Juventus are making their 24th appearance in the Champions League proper – an Italian record, three more than AC Milan.
The Bianconeri were not involved in 2023/24, missing out on European competition for the first time since 2011/12.
The 2022/23 campaign was their 11th in succession in the Champions League, Juve missing out on the round of 16 for the first time since 2013/14 after finishing behind Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain in their section.
They went on to win three Europa League ties before losing 3-2 on aggregate to eventual champions Sevilla in the semi-finals.
Juve had lost three successive away Champions League matches, conceding eight goals, before the Matchday 2 victory at Leipzig.

Having won a record nine successive Serie A titles between 2012 and 2020, Juve finished third in 2023/24 – their highest final placing since being crowned champions in 2019/20.

Lille conceded an added-time equaliser to draw 1-1 at home against Lyon on Friday. Jonathan David had opened the scoring to make it nine in his late eight club appearances.
On 26 October, late goals from David and Mohamed Bayo earned a 2-0 derby victory at Lens.
Lille are unbeaten in eight games (W5 D3) since the 2-0 loss at Sporting CP on Matchday 1 – their fourth successive defeat.
Thomas Meunier (adductor), Osame Sahraoui (ankle) and Angel Gomes (calf) all went off injured against Lyon.

After not conceding in their first seven games of the Serie A season – and only one in their first eight – Thiago Motta's men have let in seven goals in their last five.
Bremer is not expected to play again this season after suffering a knee ligament injury against Leipzig on Matchday 2.
Nicolás González suffered a thigh injury in the same game and has not played since.
Arkadiusz Milik is yet to play this season after suffering a knee injury with Poland in June.
Douglas Luiz has been out with a thigh injury since 19 October.
