What do you need to know?
Inter travel to Madrid with a narrow 1-0 lead courtesy of Marko Arnautović's goal 11 minutes from time in the first instalment on 20 February. Last season's runners-up might even have built up a greater advantage, but a combination of imprecise finishing and Atlético goalkeeper Jan Oblak mean the tie remains very much in the balance. The draws for the remainder of the competition on 15 March await the victors.

Expert predictions
Alexandra Jonson, Atlético de Madrid reporter
Atlético have been two different teams home and away this season, recently losing at Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey semi-finals but unbeaten in their last 25 La Liga matches in their own stadium. Diego Simeone's side have looked similarly divergent in attack and defence, with Álvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann forming one of the most dangerous pairings in Europe ahead of a back line which has struggled to keep out goals. Turning this tie around against Inter will be tough, but playing on home soil, and with their fearsome duo up front, it is far from a lost cause.
Paolo Menicucci, Inter reporter
Inter are currently transforming the Serie A campaign into a one-horse race, brushing aside opponent after opponent in their ferocious run towards a 20th Scudetto. The Nerazzurri have won all 13 of their games in 2024 and scored four goals in four consecutive Serie A contests in February, while Lautaro Martínez has racked up 26 goals in 35 matches in all competitions this term. No wonder Simone Inzaghi's men travel to Madrid with bags of confidence.
What the coaches say
Diego Simeone, Atlético de Madrid coach: "Tomorrow we will face probably one of the best teams in Europe. But I trust in my players and my team and I know they are going to have a good game against a great opponent. It will be a match that requires very high concentration and whoever has it will win."
Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach: "It will be a very difficult match in a stadium where Atlético have won 13 and drawn one this season in La Liga. Champions League nights are special and we want to continue this journey. We have a small advantage from the first leg, but must try to forget that. At times, Atlético showed what they can do at San Siro."
