PREMIUM OPTIONS

Having scored more #UCLfantasy points (63) than any other goalkeeper last season , André Onana (€6.0m) is an obvious starting point. The Cameroonian kept eight clean sheets and made 48 saves during Inter's journey to the final in 2022/23, although with Matchday 1 taking Onana's new club Manchester United to Munich to face Bayern, it's not surprise his ownership is not particularly high at present.

A more popular choice is Ederson (€6.0m), who went one better last season by winning the trophy with Manchester City. The English champions have conceded the fewest goals in this season's Premier League, so the Brazilian's ownership – currently 20% – may rise yet further before the Matchday 1 deadline.

Among the top-priced goalkeepers, Jan Oblak (€6.0m) could be a differential. The Atlético No1 has conceded just once in his first three La Liga games, and features in just 5% of Fantasy teams at present.

MID-PRICED OPTIONS

A little less strenuous on the budget are Barcelona's Marc-André ter Stegen (€5.5m) – who faces off against Champions League debutants Antwerp on Matchday 1 and currently features in almost a quarter of all teams – while Kepa (€5.0m) will replace the injured Thibaut Courtois at Real Madrid.

Last season Porto's Diogo Costa (€5.5m) earned 58 Fantasy points in just eight appearances. Costa kept clean sheets in half of those matches, but it was his three penalty saves that endeared him to Fantasy bosses, not forgetting his assist against Leverkusen in the group stage.

Aaron Ramsdale (£5.0m) looks reasonably priced, although Fantasy managers might be hesitant to bring in the Arsenal man given David Raya (€5.0m) may provide stiff competition. Fellow Premier League goalkeeper Nick Pope (£5.5m) has been largely avoided given Newcastle's challenging group.

BUDGET OPTIONS

Given Inter's excellent defensive record in last season's competition, Fantasy managers have been quick to jump on Yann Sommer (€4.5m). The Swiss international has kept three successive clean sheets in Serie A since joining last season's runners-up, a positive sign for those who have invested in Inter's new No1.

Janis Blaswich (€4.5m) represents a potential differential budget option with the Leipzig keeper facing Young Boys on Matchday 1, while a double-header against Crvena zvezda on Matchdays 3 and 4 provides further clean-sheet potential.

The ultimate budget option, however, appears to be Samuel Soares (€4.0m), who looks to be the preferred goalkeeper at Benfica following the departure of Odysseas Vlachodimos. Soares has kept two clean sheets in his three appearances this season, and scored for Benfica's B team last year!
