With plenty to play for on UEFA Champions League Matchday 5, the Scout is able to pick a squad packed with players whose sides still have work to do. Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli both provide the full quota of three players, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé leading a high-profile forward line completed by Harry Kane, while top Fantasy points scorer Jude Bellingham is also included.
Goalkeepers
One of the first two games of Matchday 5 supplies Tuesday's goalkeeper, Kepa (€4.5m) having played in all four of Chelsea's Group E games, and in their last five Premier League fixtures. The Spanish international has kept five clean sheets in those nine games.
Should Kepa not manage a sixth clean sheet in that sequence on Tuesday, the following day Inter's André Onana (€5.0m) faces a home game against Plzeň. The Italian side will be through with a win and their Czech opponents have lost all four Group E games, scoring just three goals.
Defenders
Inter are also represented among the five defenders, Federico Dimarco (€4.4m) having registered 15 points to date, including an assist and a clean sheet. With two goals and three assists for club and country in 2022/23, the attacking left-back could deliver another big haul at home to Plzeň.
Full-backs who push forward are the order of the day elsewhere as well, Napoli's Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€5.1m) looking to add to his 29 Fantasy points at home to a Rangers team who are still to score in Group A, while Achraf Hakimi (€6.0m) also has an appealing home fixture, his Paris Saint-Germain side facing Maccabi Haifa.
Not only does Atlético de Madrid's home game against Bayer Leverkusen offer the prospect of a clean sheet for Reinildo (€4.5m), the bargain-priced defender has picked up a third of his 21 Fantasy points via ball recoveries. Brandon Mechele (€4.3m) is part of a Club Brugge side who are still to concede in this season's group stage as Porto visit Belgium, helping him to 30 points – six of them from ball recoveries.
Midfielders
The quota of Napoli and Inter players is completed in midfield. Nicolò Barella (€6.5m) has scored in Inter's last three games in all competitions and is looking to add to his goal at Barcelona on Matchday 4, while Napoli duo Piotr Zieliński (€7.3m) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€5.6m) have both picked up 31 Fantasy points. The former scored 18 against Matchday 5 opponents Rangers in the second round of group games while Kvaratskhelia has registered double-figures returns in each of his last two Group A outings.
The top-scoring player, both in midfield and overall, is Dortmund's Jude Bellingham (€7.4m), who has recorded at least nine points in each of his four appearances and has four goals in total. With first choice Federico Valverde (€6.7m), a scorer in his last three Real Madrid appearances, ruled out of the the trip to Leipzig by injury, the midfield is completed by Jesper Lindstrøm (€6.6m), who has three goals in Eintracht Frankfurt's last two Bundesliga games and who got the winner in the reverse fixture against Marseille.
Forwards
Somewhat unusually for the group stage, two of the three forwards come from the same club, Paris pair Kylian Mbappé (€11.2m) and Lionel Messi (€10.5m) for the home game against Maccabi Haifa. Mbappé is the top-scoring forward on the game with 33 points having scored four goals – and collected three Player of the Match awards – while Messi has 18, scoring twice. The Argentinian has also set up six of Mbappé's ten Ligue 1 goals this season.
The third forward is Harry Kane (€10.5m) despite collecting only 14 points from his first four matches, scoring only one goal. He has, however, reached ten goals in this season's Premier League already and has found the net in five of Tottenham's last seven games in all competitions ahead of the potentially pivotal home meeting with Sporting CP.
