Champions League Fantasy Football: The Scout squad for Matchday 3

Antonio Adán, Filip Kostić, Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, Neymar and Erling Haaland all make the Scout's squad for the third round of group games.

The Scout's squad for Matchday 3 on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation, includes three players from both Juventus and Bayern München while Manchester City and Sporting CP both provide two.

Highlights: Sporting CP 2-0 Tottenham

Goalkeepers

Two clean sheets have brought in 14 points for Antonio Adán (€4.5m) and the Sporting CP No1 is well placed to add another as his side go to Marseille, who are still seeking their first group stage goal.

Juventus's home game against Maccabi Haifa is also appealing from a Fantasy point of view, with the fit-again Wojciech Szczęsny (€5.5m) looking to pick up his first points in this season's competition.

Defenders

Given their fixtures, Sporting and Juventus are also represented among the five defenders. The former's Pedro Porro (€5.2m) is the fifth highest-scoring defender so far with 18 points, a total that includes an assist, while Filip Kostić (€5.5m) is likely to be given free rein to attack at home to Maccabi with Juve needing to kick-start their campaign.

Also scoring highly is Abakar Sylla (€4.7m) of Clube Brugge, who has 23 points to his name – with Atlético visiting this week, he will be looking for a repeat of the 17 he gathered in their first home game on Matchday 1. Dayot Upamecano (€5.0m) is the Bayern defensive selection for the home game against Plzeň while an injury to Kyle Walker means Sergio Gómez (€4.1m) could prove to be a key budget enabler for Manchester City's home game against Copenhagen.

Highlights: Bayern 2-0 Barcelona

Midfielders

The appealing nature of Bayern's fixture against Plzeň means there's a double-up in midfield. Leroy Sané (€9.1m) is a natural selection having already picked up 23 Fantasy points this season, while team-mate Jamal Musiala (€7.0m) has five Bundesliga goals already in 2022/23.

Mohamed Kudus (€5.2m) is behind only Sané in the Fantasy midfield ranking on 21 points ahead of Ajax's home game against Napoli, while Jude Bellingham (€7.2m) has 20 points with his Borussia Dortmund team visiting a Sevilla side whose first home game in this season's UEFA Champions League ended in a 4-0 defeat. Federico Valverde (€6.5m), who registered a goal and an assist in Real Madrid's first home game on Matchday 2, completes the selection as Shakhtar visit the Santiago Bernabéu.

Forwards

Up front, Erling Haaland (€11.1m) is the obvious selection for a home game against Copenhagen having scored in both games so far, while Neymar (€10.0m) will be looking to add to his 11 points at Paris Saint-Germain visit Benfica in a Group H summit meeting.

In the same section Dušan Vlahović (€9.0m), who has scored five of Juventus's 12 league goals this season, will be aiming to translate that form to the European stage with the Italian side needing goals and points against Maccabi in Turin.
